Turkey: Terim will quit after the ARMENIA game


(ANSA) - ISTANBUL - 'Against Armenia will be my farewell match' announced today Turkish manager Fatih Terim. Terim will resign after the last qualifying match for World Cup 2010 in South Africa where Turkey will not be present.

Yesterday Turkey was defeated by Belgium in Brussels (2-0). Under the conduction of Terim Turkey did very well and ended up semi-finalist at Euro 2008 where they lost to Germany. They are actually third in Group 5 of the European zone of the World Cup qualifications, which was won by Spain. Bosnia, second, will play the play-offs.
